Today’s mini-sode we’re talking about asking for help. Yes, I know how hard it is. But we have to start asking for help otherwise you’re going to hit burnout (please, learn from my mistakes).
I’ve always had trouble asking for help, even from a young age. I’ve always felt this pressure to never ask for help, almost like it was a failure or weak to enlist someone else to help me, no matter what the task was.
It’s difficult to ask for help because we fear rejection. We fear being seen as “less than” or “found out.”
But ultimately, it’s important to know where our strengths lie and where they don’t. Sometimes, the most efficient way to move forward in life is to focus our efforts on what we do best, and leave the rest for someone else.
In this episode I share more about my struggles asking for help, research behind why it’s so dang hard to ask for it, and 3 tips to help you…ask for help!
