Hello hello welcome back to the Human Connection podcast, I’m your host Brittney Lynn and
First of all thank y’all so much for the amazing feedback on my big news from last week!
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, you can head back to last week’s episode titled “my big news.” It’s where I share a huge life change for both my husband and I as we are currently converting a sprinter van into a tiny home!
I know, v. crazy but life is too short and we are excited for this new adventure. Anyways, I gabbed all about that in my solo episode last week but this week is all about my interview with Joe Casabona!
Joe started his career almost 20 years ago as a freelance web developer and has been a team lead, system admin, and was even a faculty member at his alma mater. Podcasting has been the perfect medium for Joe to share his knowledge and build up his peers. He is not only a veteran podcaster but he helps people launch their own podcasts.
When he’s not creating courses for LinkedIn Learning, you can find Joe spending time with his family, enjoying baseball, or talking too much about Star Wars.

This episode is a bit different than my usual episodes. On social media and to my email list I’ve been sharing that I have some big life news that I’d be revealing and….this episode is the big reveal.
I’m excited/nervous/anxious/all the feelings you can imagine about this big life transition that is happening and felt like a podcast episode was the best way to reveal the news.
Hope you enjoy!

This is a continuation of my mini-series here on the podcast where I’m going to be sharing PR and media pitching tips for all kinds of entrepreneurs and small business owners.
The first episode in the series was covering PR tips for service providers, our second was PR tips for online course and/or membership creators.
But today’s episode we will be covering PR tips for authors!
Now before we dive in, I want to share that these tips will be specifically for non-fiction authors. Authors who write business books, self help, professional development genre. The fiction book industry is not one I am as familiar with so I don’t feel as comfortable sharing strategies for those individuals.

Hello hello welcome back to the first podcast episode of 2021 of the Human Connection podcast, I’m your host Brittney Lynn and I’m so excited you are here listening!
In case you are new around these parts, welcome! I’m a female entrepreneur who runs a PR agency that serves purpose-driven online entrepreneurs.
Our team represents clients across a variety of industries landing them podcast interviews, publication interviews, and tv interviews.
Many people want to work with us because we do the heavy lifting of PR — we come up with pitch ideas, do the research on the best outlets to reach out to, connect with the journalists/podcast hosts/producers, and land our clients the interview.
But…not everyone is at a place where it makes sense to completely outsource this work. Maybe you aren’t ready to pay an ongoing retainer fee to an agency like ours to do everything for you.
But you are ready to start getting mentioned by the media.
To see your name in prominent publications, to become that go-to expert in your industry.
So, this solo episode is going to share how you can observe what the media is reporting on and how you can come up with those pitch topics for yourself!
Let’s get into it.
