If you’re brand new to pitching yourself to the media it can be hard to develop the habit of being consistent with your pitching, right?
Doing anything new and unfamiliar can feel like a struggle.
Trying a new workout routine, eating healthier, regularly writing blog posts, drinking more water, routinely recording new podcast episodes…all of those things can feel hard to do when you’re starting a new habit if you aren’t used to it.
But I will share this: when it comes to basically anything in life, if you’re wanting to form a new habit and get into a routine of regularly doing something, you have to be consistent to move forward.
Tune in to find out why consistency matters when it comes to pitching the media.

I’m your host Brittney Lynn, founder of the Human Connection Agency, a PR agency that helps you get visible and land prominent media mentions and today’s episode we start a new mini-series on the podcast: the “how to prepare” series.
I’ve done a series in the past called my “how to pitch” series where we covered how to pitch podcasts, publications, and tv. Those episodes are linked below if you’d like to check them out!
But I realized that I didn’t have content for how to prepare for those interviews — which is half the battle!
So that’s what we will be diving into over the next few weeks. Our first episode (today’s episode) will be how to prepare for a podcast interview!
